Webdreg11: Bobby Sax

Taken on the day after the big pre-Christmas snow. We went downtown to Barely's for a hot meal, before running like refugees to the Bard's house. Bobby Sax can make the most out of any situation.

Webdreg01: Fritz

I met Fritz last fall at Firestorm Cafe downtown, where he talked at an unbelievable rate for an equally unbelievable amount of time about his time in the Navy, UFOs, and photography. Fritz and I could be good friends, but I've never encountered him again.

Webdreg00: Mine Fork Free Will Baptist Church

I have a folder called "Web" to which I save all of my post-ready images. As you can imagine, some images just never get posted, and end up collecting dust. Every few months they start to ping my OCD receptors and I have to clean them out. The next two weeks will showcase the images that have survived multiple purgings.

Down the Aisle Again

I was talking to an older gentleman at a recent wedding, and we came to the conclusion that I'd been to more weddings this year than he'd attended in his entire life.
You never know when you'll be surprised. The cake shot is always the hardest to pull off with any kind of originality. That's why my commercial page has the cake with the pterodactyls; it was the only cake shot I ever got right. But this time I got two!

Details:

I try my best to shoot weddings in manual mode, but when you've got two cameras and three differently lit spaces, sometimes you just have to set it on program and shoot. I was disappointed with the piano player shot, and immediately retook it with proper exposure. But now I like this one. Hard to tell if it's a wedding or a funeral. Very DarkTopo. Too bad it was by accident.
This one was on purpose, and I'm just a bit proud of it:

Sunday Morning Variations

No flash.

Flash bounced from the right wall.

Flash bounced from the back wall. Yawn.

Flash bounced from the left wall. Score.

HDR

Stretch. Underexposed and overprocessed.

Flash in the middle of the room, bounced from the ceiling. Lame.

No flash.

Flash dialed down.

Tight.

Wide.

Losing patience.
