Alright folks, rush to the magazine rack and grab the fresh issue of SHOTS. My photo, cleverly entitled "What We Found in the Woods" is in there, among a bunch of other really amazing work from other photographers. But who cares about them?
An unprocessed version of the photo is above. I shot it with my buddy Shane late one night way back in the day, in a fit of creative seizures that are pretty well documented in the SAD Project. I used a K1000, a $19.99 WalMart tripod, and a former-Soviet lens I borrowed from my dad.
With that in mind (and don't take this the wrong way, because I am NOT comparing myself to him), I never would have guessed a decade ago that this photo would show up in the same magazine that featured Josef Hoflehner. So my day is made. Thanks for reading.
