And then I learned, the hard way, that CVS is not the place to have your film processed. In Burnsville, that was all there was. It was staffed by morons. For the purposes of this project, I'll call these morons the "lunch ladies," because they had a similar demeanor and skill level as the elderly women who would dole out tater-tots into the compartments of our cafeteria trays in middle school.

A tater-tot is about the same size and shape as roll of film, and in Burnsville, they were handled with equal care.

The machine they used must have printed the photos before it sliced the negatives in half, because it wasn't until I got to college and tried re-print these images that I learned what had happened. I swore never to use CVS again. Little did I know . . .
